Another Fun evening in the Inlet

Last Thursday evening we jumped in the Avon side of the Shark River Inlet with about 10 divers. It was a bit challenging due to a front that moved in and created a bit of a surface surge. Once we got down to the bottom everything calmed down a bit and we had a nice dive with about 5'-8' of visibiliity. Sean my dive buddy and I got to see some butterflies, tog and small sea bass to name a few.We had a few M.A.T.E.S. kids out their collecting cridders for there tank at the new school.I will be doing it again real soon so check in with me often.

Hi everyone,
Join Sharon and myself this Thursday at 6:00pm at the Avon side of the inlet for another insatllment of the save our sanity dives. Bring a light and being that it is getting dark earlier. Looks like the river is recovering from the rain quick so it should be ok for the dive. water temps in the low 60's.

GREAT TIME!!!!

Tonight's inlet dive was tons of fun with 15 divers heading into the water (where else would they go.) We made a slight change due to the northeast winds today and changed our location to the A St. side of the inlet. We had around 10-15 foot vis with tons of fish to look at. Water temps were around 67 degrees with a strong full moon current. Kyle and Dakota from the M.A.T.E.S. school collected some aquatic life and other items (rocks and wood) for there touch tank at the new school. Congratulations to Melanie and Hank for completing thier Advanced Open Water dive and I found out my camera has a "freak'in Laser" on it. (ok the last part wasn't important but it was cool). Sharon and I are getting closer to finding our sanity but we are not there yet so we hope to see you on our next inlet dive.

A couple of Steve's pictures taken with underwater camera.

OH MY!!!!!!!

That's the only way I can describe today's Shark River Inlet dive. Sharon, Rich Goldman, and myself jumped in the inlet for an Advanced Open Water dive. We had 20-25 feet of (tap water) visibility and saw many types of aquatic life such as butterflies, tangs, little grouper, black fish, sea bass and we even found a huge puffer. Water temp was around 66 degrees. Looks like Thursday may get a little fluffy so we may end up at the A street side so make sure you check with me during the day.
